Skyways Technics, a leading MRO service provider for regional aircraft, is pleased to announce that Skyways Technics Asia, located at Subang Airport in Malaysia, has been certified by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration as an approved Aviation Maintenance Organization. With this airworthiness approval, our Malaysian entity can certify components for customers requiring FAA certified components in the Asian market and around the world.
This FAA certification is an important milestone in our mission to expand Skyways Technics’ component services throughout the Asia Pacific region. This approval enables Skyways Technics to support both existing and future customers with component repair solutions and further demonstrates our commitment to the continued growth and development of our facilities and services. This approval opens Skyways Technics to further opportunities with aircraft manufacturers, operators, lessors, MROs, traders, and third-party customers, who require the FAA certification on their ATR, Airbus, and Boeing repaired components while increasing our presence and capabilities in the region.
“We are extremely proud of our newly garnered FAA certification for our structural component repair facility in Malaysia. It signifies the excellence of our workforce and processes while taking a major step in the development of our business,“ says David Kotra, General Manager of Skyways Technics Asia. “I congratulate our team for this landmark achievement and am thankful for their continued diligence as we move toward the long-term future of Skyways Technics Asia.
Skyways Technics Asia opened in Malaysia as a sales office and warehouse in 2014. Now it features a component maintenance shop for the testing, repair, overhaul, and modification of structural aircraft components, as a regional service center for Skyways Technics’ Asia-Pacific based ATR, Airbus, and Boeing customers.
