Skyways Technics Completes First A320 Teardown, Expanding Narrowbody Support

Skyways Technics is proud to announce a significant step forward in its strategic growth journey: our first teardown of an Airbus A320. This marks an important expansion into the narrow-body aircraft market. The aircraft was purchased from AerCap, further strengthening Skyways Technics’ position in asset management and teardown activities.

Once initiated, the full teardown process is expected to take approximately four to six weeks, including the complete recycling phase. Throughout this period, each component will undergo in-depth inspection and handling to ensure it is processed in line with industry standards.

Following disassembly, the removed components will be sent to our own workshops (in Europe and Asia), or approved MRO’s for testing & recertification, or for repair / Overhaul. This ensures that every eligible part is restored to airworthy conditions and ready to support our customers worldwide.

As our first narrow-body teardown, this A320 project carries substantial strategic importance for Skyways Technics. It expands our business horizon and teardown capability beyond regional aircraft (where we have already completed several successful teardowns in recent years), and it strengthens our entry into the narrow-body parts trading market, increasing the synergies with our in-house existing capabilities on structural components.

Looking ahead, Skyways Technics remains ambitious in its plans for future teardown projects. While the exact number will depend on aircraft availability and contractual terms, our direction is clear: continued growth, continued capability expansion, and continued dedication to supporting the aviation community with high-quality, sustainable solutions.

Harvested components are now available to operators and lessors through the company’s warehouse network in Miami, Paris, and Kuala Lumpur.
